Arabic Source and Roman Transliteration

Arabic		وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتٌ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُون
Transliteration		Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tashAAuroona
Transliteration-2		walā taqūlū liman yuq'talu fī sabīli l-lahi amwātun bal aḥyāon walākin lā tashʿurūn
Word for Word Dr. Shehnaz Shaikh, Ms. Kauser Katri, and more		And (do) not say for (the ones) who are slain in (the) way (of) Allah "(They are) dead." Nay, (they are) alive [and] but you (do) not perceive.

Muhammad Asad		And say not of those who are slain in God's cause, "They are dead": nay, they are alive, but you perceive it not
